Unsafe at Any Size

I  love love love the photo essay from Newsweek showing fat people doing EVERYTHING-kayaking, horseback riding, scuba, more!  Thanks to Kate Harding’s Shapely Prose for linking to it.

Don’t wait until you’re thin to do the things you want to do.  Live your life!  You can cower until you look the way you want to look, but you’ll always have a reasons until you decide the only reason you need is you want to do it!

I joined Weight Watchers in 2007, and have been dismissive that I’ve really changed even though I lost 100 lbs.  But looking at some old photos, I really do look different.  Before:

I’ve plateaued the last 5 months or so.  Maybe just to get used to the differences!
