As I mentioned in some old posts, I’m not too crazy about Zumba. Too dancy, too jingly. I’m old school when it comes to exercise. I want yelling. I want direction!
I used to get my yelling at my twice-weekly bootcamp class at the local Y, but that was moved to a different time that, due to strict laws against child abandonment, I can’t attend. So I’ve been going to a cardio toning class that has been underenrolled, to say the least.
So the instructor says she’s going to change it from cardio toning to–you guessed it!–zumba.
At this rate, I’m going to give up on the Y. Anyone have favorite exercise DVDs I should check out?

Call me silly, but I really like the Walk at Home series.
I also do the Slim in 6, but really don’t care much for the Jillian Michael’s bootcamp ones.
I used to enjoy doing the belly dancing workout with the twin sisters, but my VCR ate my tape.
I like the Wii Fit Coach. Wii Fitness annoyed me, but I’m willing to look into the new one.
I need to stretch more.
And I’m so with you on Zumba. Anything that requires coordination, for-get-it.

That’s unbelievable about the cardio turned Zumba class…
My favorite workout DVDs include:
10 Minute Solution: Fitness Ball Workouts,
Tone Trouble Zones! and Kickbox Bootcamp — in that order.

Oo I like the idea of Kickbox Bootcamp! Two of my favorite things in one. Trying to get over the idea of exercising on the carpet in my living room…
