Saturday Weigh In 5/2/09

There’s no justice in the world or in weight loss.  I religiously counted points, racked up 41 (count ‘em!) activity points, and… gained .6 lbs.  It’s times like this that I’m glad my goal isn’t weight loss, or at least not directly; weight loss supports my goal of greater activity and mobility.

My knees are giving me issues at times during my workouts (killer boot camp Tu-Th), so I’m hoping a little less weight on them will help.  Perhaps this week I developed better muscle to support them.

I also started running again, which would sound counterintuitive if it’s the knees I’m trying to save.  But “running” is a generous term for what I’m doing, and it doesn’t hurt my knees at all.  And the weather has been so beautiful!  Spring is the perfect time to start any kind of outdoor exercise routine.
